Publication Scheme

Class 1 – Who we are and what we do

Practice details, information about our Practice team and our opening times are all published on our website. This information can be accessed via the about us  page.

Class 2 – What we spend and how we spend it

The Practice receives money from NHS Wales according to its contract for national General Medical Services in exchange for services provided for patients.  This information can be obtained on request in writing to the Practice Manager.

There may be circumstances where material cannot be released because it is confidential or commercial information or the appropriate officer designated for these purposes, under the Act, has taken the view that it may be prejudicial to the conduct of the Practice’s affairs.

If this is the case, we will respond to your FOI request with a formal letter acknowledging the reasons why we are unable to give you this information.

We do not wish to publish our annual salaries, but they are available on request.

Class 3 – What our priorities are and how we are doing

Alongside our General Medical Service provision the practice works in tandem with Merthyr Tydfil Primary care cluster.

A group of local practices working together to provide better care for the community.

Merthyr Tydfil Primary Care Cluster provides support to approximately 60,000 patients in the area.

Alongside community and social care, the cluster's primary aim is to co-ordinate our healthcare services in Merthyr Tydfil and ensure we are providing the best treatment, advice and support for you.

The cluster is made up of dedicated healthcare professionals, including community and district nurses, midwives, health visitors, mental health teams, health promotion teams, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, phlebotomists, paramedics, social services and other local authority staff.

We are also incredibly proud of our team of volunteers, who work within neighbourhoods to support people on an individual basis.

A list of projects can be found here  --

We are also undertaking a project with the Health Board to identify patients at highest risk.
